He gravitated to my husband, this young talented musician. His life was marked by addiction and loss. But there was a gentleness about this rough young rider, hidden away. Unmarred by life’s circumstances.

… what remains is a unique friendship – memories and a respect for a man we both admired and loved.

We called him the Tugboat Captain … I still do!

There is something so peaceful about open waters, renewing. When the world’s craziness seems to be surrounding me, closing in – I am always so grateful for these moments of serenity.
