When Go Red For Women was launched by the American Heart Association in 2004, Macy’s stepped up to become their founding National Sponsor. Since that time, Macy’s has raised over $50 million in the fight to end heart disease in women.
“We are deeply grateful for their ongoing generosity in our efforts to empower women against our leading health threat. Thank you Macy’s.” – Go Red for Women
Now through Mother’s Day, May 10th. Macy’s will generously donate $3 dollars to charity – including “Go Red for Women” every time you post, share or send a Mother’s Day message on Instagram, Twitter and Tumblr using the hashtag #MACYSLOVESMOMS.
Whether your post is silly or heartwarming, be creative and have some fun! Include a recent photo, a video or a favorite picture, a “throwback” photo that evokes a special memory. It doesn’t have to stop with your own mother, share about your grandmother, an aunt or someone you admire, someone who has touched your life in a profound way.
Sharing your #MACYSLOVESMOMS photos and memories will benefit the following charities.
Please help Macy’s reach the $400,000 total goal. Post about your mom between now and Mother’s Day, and encourage your own social media networks to do the same. If Macy’s reaches its goal, that will result in an $80,000 donation for “Go Red For Women” to help end heart disease, the No.1 killer of women.
… and all you have to do is tell the world how much you love your mom!
